ARCH STRUCTURE

Enchanted by their spectacular outlook, countless arch structures are constructed since time immemorial. The exceptional performance and unbelievable durability of these structures have resulted in many successful applications; especially bridges, of striking aesthetic appearance being recorded across nearly all continents of the world. Interestingly, many ancient and modern arch structures are found coexist and stand next to one another harmoniously at many prominent locations of the world.

The advent of concrete and precasting technologies have invoked greater creativity for the design and construction of arch-structures. Among them is the emergence of our RIVO ARCH system involving the use of special designed and profiled geometrical sections.

RIVO ARCH

We provide our proprietary arch system on a design-and-build one-stop servisce basic. For this, RIVO ARCH of standardized or custom-made profiles are available for selection. Our designs are generally of great versatility to cater for wide ranging applications. Some of the more notable ones are illustrated in this brochure.

CLOSE SPANDREL SEGMENTAL ARCH AND CLOSE SPANDREL PANEL ARCH

  • The system is produced by putting together a series of modularized precast concrete arch unit in place to give The final required arch geometry.
  • The enclosure on top between the arch panels and side spandrels are filled with suitable materials for lateral supports.
  • Soil-concrete interaction in existence has resulted in superior strength and efficiency of the system being achieved.

OPEN SPANDREL FRAME ARCH

  • The arch system supports the roadway through a series of precast arch elements and columns/ struts/ webs connected to the concrete decks without fills.
  • The main precast framed arch elements are spaced at 1.0 to 3.0m spacing to the loading requirement.
  • The struts/ webs may take various forms e.g. truss, circular voids or any arbitary geometry to suit the needs of the project.
